Lovely, charming old house. Yummy little treats in the room. Nice to have that extra living room downstairs, with sofas for reading and with a small table for using the laptop.

Everything is in walking distance, the harbour, the Highland Games (in August), shops, even big supermarkets.

I thought the facilities in the room were good, having a small fridge was great. The continental breakfast had plenty to nibble on throughout the day. Also a very good shower.

If you are eating out and want a particular restaurant booking is essential and you would probably have to book the day before.

Eilidh and Chris were first class hosts and really looked after us.

The guest house is situated a 5 to 10 minute walk from the harbour and shopping centre. There are plenty of places to eat out and boat trips to go on. The ferry terminal serves the adjacent islands with frequent crossings. All in all a fantastic place to visit.

Elidih was so helpful leading up to our stay with advice regarding directions, and the very convenient parking behind the B&B. Very comfortable bed, and, overall, stay. Thank you.

I highly recommend the 3 Isle Tour (West Coast Motors), although that would be somewhat dependent on the weather one got as,for example, Staffa in the rain might be challenging. But I very much enjoyed it. And the Oban Inn, a short walk from the Cameron Guest House, has great food and atmosphere.

Really enjoyed our stay. The room was excellent with everything you needed and more. Lots of helpful information available and when speaking with Chris, he gave us directions for Dunstaffnage Castle walking along to Ganavan Sands and then over the path into Dumbeg which we did and had a lovely day out and got the bus back. Will definitely be back and will recommend Cameron House Hotel to friends and family - thank you.

Get the ferry over to Mull and go to Tobermory - lovely quaint place with lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Visit the local Museum there which has lots of interesting information. If you can - we weren't able to because of the weather unfortunately - go over to Iona and go to the Abbey. Walk up to McCaig's Tower to get spectacular views across the Bay. Visit the local Museum in the town which has lots of interesting information.

The house is lovely and bright. We appreciated the sizable bathrooms and quiet after being in Edinburgh for a few days. The location is close to everything and easily walkable. Excellent location and Oban is a wonderful place to visit. The Cameron House Hotel is well equipped and super comfortable. Everything you could possible need for a short stay. Informative and friendly hosts adding to the relaxing experience. Highly recommended.

Take some advice from the amazing hosts at the Cameron House Hotel. Depending on your individual likes, castles, hiking, boat trips or fine dining they will be happy to point you in the right direction. Oban and the surrounding countryside and islands is well worth a visit and I can guarantee you haven’t given yourself enough time the first time you venture this way.

Lovely place! Great location; clean and peaceful. We did try to contact someone for a question, and couldn't reach anyone at the numbers we were given. Maybe our problem with our phone? We understand contactless service and weren't upset. We would definitely stay again if we return to Oban.

Had a lovely stay, clean en suite room. House has a private car park at the back. Eilidh couldn’t have been more helpful! I was attending a function at the Corran Halls, which was less than 5 minutes walk away!

Oban Fish and Chip Shop is less than 5 minutes down the road, highly recommended for the chips. Can’t comment on the fish as I’m vegan! 😂 Wetherspoon’s (Corryveckan) on the ferry pier, so great breakfasts from 8am. Walk up the steps from the bottom to McCaig Tower if you’re fit enough!

We had a lovely stay - the room was spacious with a large en-suite and we had plenty of tea/coffee and milk to keep us going for the 5 days we stayed. The beds were very comfortable and we slept very well - thanks for everything!

We enjoyed eating out in and around Oban - including the Taj Mahal, the Olive Garden, Julie's cafe and Poppy's garden centre and cafe. The Atlantis leisure centre is very close and has a beautiful pool with spotless changing rooms, McCaig's Tower is worth the walk for the extensive views and Dunollie Castle was very interesting.

Early bird 3 island tour highly recommended. (Mull, Iona, &Staffa) Fingals cave is a must see on Staffa. Saw puffins and dolphins on the way. It was amazing. Had breakfast on the ferry. Then lots of places to choose for eating out.

Cameron Guest house was everything that we were hoping it would be. A perfectly central base for a few days stay in Oban. Straight down the road and within 5 minutes you are on the Main Street and at the harbour. Here you can get on the ferries for the various island tours and day trips. The room was lovely and clean and had all the essentials and a few thoughtful extras, biscuits, cafetière,various teas,fridge and lovely toiletries. The hosts were really helpful answering all queries we had at time of booking and offering vital local information during our stay. We were pleased to have met the host. Also there was residents parking available for us so we had no need to drive anywhere for a couple of days. We really enjoyed our stay.

Opted for no breakfast but this was not a problem as plenty of option within a short walk. Hosts were really helpful & approachable .

Although we were aware of the Breakfast situation prior to our stay it was somewhat iffy. Bread in the room for toast but toaster in the lounge downstairs. We eventually joined our friends and ate in the lounge. Happy enough with the accommodation and yes, would come back

Thank you for staying, I am aware our breakfast arrangement can change, we are getting people helping themselves to the bread that have not paid for breakfast so we are trying out different ways so that people that have paid are not left out. The toaster is in the lounge with a bigger selection of cereal, the toaster in rooms would not work due to the smoke detectors in the rooms. We arrived early, yet were able to leave our bags (we didn't have a car). Our hostess was very friendly and helpful. She gave us a map of Oban & had marked a number of good places for dinner & breakfast.

Loved our stay at Cameron House. Really nice, helpful staff and fab location. Less than 10 minutes to town centre and only 3 minutes from the front. Would highly recommend and would happily stay at Cameron Guest House in the future. The breakfast selection was excellent and plentiful and delivered to your room the day before and stored in the room fridge. Nice, convenient arrangement.

Farmfoods 2 mins walk away, Kebabish takeaway just down the road is very good, Nories for fab fish and chips. Oban also had a massive Tesco, M&S Food, Lidl and Aldi in retail park behind the train station. 5 minute walk from town centre.

Very friendly and extremely helpful couldn’t do enough for us we will be back, thank you. We arrived early and was told we could check and the car park is at the back of the guest house easily accessible. The room was very good, clean and bright. It had a large bathroom with a power shower also tea and coffee making facilities the bed was comfy and we had a good nights sleep.

Oban is beautiful so much to see a fantastic walk along the sea front and is only a 3 minute walk from Cameron Guest House very photogenic and we took quite a few shots as there were tall ships moored in the port. There are so many places you can eat at and will suit all diets we had the traditional Fish and Chips and they were very nice this was only a few minutes walk away straight down the street from the guest house.

Lovely house old house that has been renovated into a guesthouse. It is important to remember that when booking as rooms may be smaller than you would expect at a regular hotel. Our 3-single bed room had more than enough space for all of us and our suitcases. Room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom renovated and modern. Water pressure and temperature were excellent. Just an excellent experience all around!

Make reservations, but highly recommend both Eeusk and The Waterfront Fishouse Restaurant for dinner. They are both exceptional and the food is outstanding.

The guest house felt like a home from home. we were welcomed at the front door by the owners. The room was to a very high standard. Everything that we needed was there. The owners and staff were very friendly and chatty. Nothing was too much for them. Will be booking again soon.

The steak house on the way to town was a lovely place to eat as was The Oban Bay Fish restaurant which was a bit further down the road. If weather permit's stand by the sea front and watch the ferries come in and the sun setting. What a wonderful picture. We went to a wedding at the Argyllshire Gathering Hall which was a wonderful place. Good Food. Lovely wedding.

Can't really comment on staff as we never saw anyone.we were happy with our room and had a good variety ,and plenty,of food left in our room for breakfast. Location was good for a walk-about of the town. Thank you for a comfy stay.

We eat in the hotel just down the street and it was lovely.

Lovely room and the hosts are amazing. It was a nice quiet, comfortable stay and having the makings of a packed lunch for us to take along for the early morning ferry trip was a wonderful surprise bonus!!! Thank you so very much!:)

The Yu Wu (I hope I got the name correct) Chinese by the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry terminal does a fabulous early two course meal. Good value and selection for the price!

I Cannot fault the Cameron guessed house,Ive now stayed there 3 times and would not consider staying anywhere else in Oban,as Sea Anglers we can come and go as we please with no time restrictions,Its the perfect base for me and my party.

we visited the Coriander Indian restaurant and can speak very highly of the place with maybe the only issue being it not having a drinks license but the food was excellent . best tip for going out in the dark - be afraid of the midge because it will get you,come prepared with a decent mossy spray.

I was made very welcome and I really enjoyed my stay. Perfect location just behind main street and sea front. Breakfast was supplied although I did not expect it and there was plenty of it. Good wifi reception.

Lots to do in Oban. Take a walk up to the tower for great views.

Cannot fault Cameron guest house,we stay overnight on the 14th Sept as part ofa fishing trip,its a great place to stay with all the facilities you could ever need,met with a smile on arriving what more could anyone want,we will definetely be back ,thanks again.
